I am looking into buying a cavasson for my  3 horses I have an Arab a quarter horse and a Welsh cob I would like the cavasson to fit all of them if possible I am a bit confused on which design of cavasson would suit straightness training the best and also which reins to use I would ultimately like to ride in the cavasson please can you help

Hello, it is impossible for me to say what model you will like best. The academic caveson is the most popular, but there is no bigger differences between that and the chain caveson in funciont. as you have rather small headed horses I would suggest a cob size chain caveson.

You can ue any rein together with a caveson. Most popular are my reins with snaps.

Is it possible to attach a bit to the academic cavasson for ridden work and what difference does it make weather the chain is thicker or thinner is it better to have a thinner chain on a smaller headed horse sorry to ask so many question I want to make the right decision on this

I am not sure if the chain thicknes makes any difference at all. I have never noticed any. The cob size chain caveson is smaller than the cob size academic, that's why I think thi will fit your horses better.

You can not attach any bit to my cavesons. Most people that want a bit and a caveson buy my plain headstall and a semi caveson.
