Antique curb

The Antique curb is my latest design, a beautiful S-shaped curb with short shanks inspired by pictures of bits used in Sweden during the 19th century and the early 20th century. Despite its shape, the Antique curb is "straight", meaning it is not curved and lifting. Upper and lower shanks are bent outwards to minimize the risk of pinching.

The lower shanks are the same length as on my Spanish bits and around 2,5 cm shorter than on the Academic bit. Can be used alone as a curb bit or together with a bridoon as a double bridle.

The Antique bit is available in black steel, stainless steel and brass, with mix and match bosette and mouthpiece metal combinations.
